    Hello David,

This is a great article that help me with my CASPOL issue with windows 7 64 bit.

As part of my clickonce XBAP (Browser Hosted) application, I needed to alter the Code Access Security to allow my application to have the FullTrust permission. I created an MSI containing all of the necessary ammendments using the “.NET Framework 2.0 Configuration” UI – “Create Deployment Package” tool. However, the resulting MSI only actions the settings on the 32 bit CASPOL not the 64 bit. And since you cant change the build architecture on a browser hosted XBAP application, it will run as 64 bit on 64bit OSes.

Is it possible to create an MSI for the 64 bit version in a similar way?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

    Kind Regards,
    Matt

Hi Matt, I experimented with this this morning, as I have never done this before. I believe that when you install the 64-bit version of the .NET Framework 2.0 SDK you get a choice whether you want to launch the .NET 2.0 Configuration Tool in 32-bit or 64-bit. When you launch the tool in 64-bit the MSI packages created should reference the 64-bit version of caspol.exe.
